Here are some guidelines to create images that will easily upload into Robly and look great in your campaign:
Image size: Header graphics should be no larger than 600 pixels wide, with a proportional height (a general guideline is 100-200 pixels). The size of an entire Robly campaign is 600 pixels wide – so you will not need images bigger than this. Keep in mind that the larger the image, the greater the chances are that an email filter or firewall will block it.
File type: It is best to save your image as a .jpeg or .png. A .gif format is also acceptable but only suggested for simple graphics.
Color profile: Your images need to be in RGB color values, as opposed to CMYK color values. CMYK color values are for print and won’t render in an online environment.
DPI: Set your images to maximum quality with a resolution of 72dpi.
File Size: The max file size for image uploads is 13MB. But remember you are working with web and larger files will load slowly in your subscriber’s inbox or mobile device and take more bandwidth to do so.
If you are working with high res images (most smartphones take high res images), you may want to size them down before uploading them to Robly. Many smartphones (ironically, perhaps) will not display high res images in email campaigns. If you’re not sure what size your image is, you can always check in the Image Browser after you upload:
If you don’t have your own image editing software, we highly recommend using picmonkey.com – it’s free and easy.
