How do I copy/paste in text?

Oftentimes, copy/pasting in text from other places (a Word document, the web, a PDF) can cause rendering issues in your inbox. If you’re seeing that your fonts or other elements of text look funny when you send yourself a test email, it’s probably because you copy/pasted your text in from somewhere–text from Microsoft Word documents and other websites will have HTML code behind it that gets added to your campaign and interferes with your design.

But not to worry! You can still copy/paste, you just have to make sure you do it the right way.

Here’s how:

1. Copy the text you want to paste in from its original source.

2. Paste that text into NotePad or TextEdit. This will strip/remove any HTML formatting.

3. Then, paste your text into your campaign!
